1Put the beef tongue in a large pot and cover with water. Add the onion, garlic, black pepper, thyme and oregano.
2Cook on medium-high heat for about 3.5 hours until the meat is soft. Alternatively, you can use a pressure cooker for 45 minutes or a slow cooker on low heat for 6 hours.
