Chef tips
To get the most out of the lamb, make sure to sear the pieces well in the pot with a bit of oil before adding the liquid; this locks in the juices and gives the soup a deep color and extra rich flavor. If the kids aren't fans of spicy food, you can use less harissa and serve it on the side, along with fresh challah or homemade couscous that soaks up all those wonderful flavors.
